Come By Here: The African Roots of Freedom Songs

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in this highly interactive 45 min. music and dance performance highlighting Dr. King’s sermons, speeches and the Freedom Songs emblematic of non-violent protest. Perfect for grades 2nd – 5th.

Thank you so much for the outstanding performance for our MLK celebration. Teachers have commented how much they enjoyed it, how clear and age-appropriate the presentation was, and overall, how it tied nicely to our ‘character’ theme. Yesterday afternoon,  a couple of students could be heard singing, “Happy Birthday to ya!” in the hallway.
